This is not a toy ! I use mine all the time as I travel around. Great piece of kit for outdoor painting, just change the colours to suit your palette. I never had a problem with it closing securely. In fact I have trouble getting mine open sometimes.Lots of mixing space for its size. It travels with me everywhere along with my sketch book diary. I’m heading for the Arctic soon and yep it’s going too. Well worth buying.

This is a nice compact watercolour box for the beginner but I’ve found it impossible to close the lid fast. A local shop confirmed that this is a problem with all these sets. Elastic bands will be needed!

EXELLENT!!!! Book to train you to use and awaken your eyes, thinking and hands. If you want the best of your artwork – train your consciousness, awareness and your eyes to notice and gather information! This book gives a much needed deep study, and it can be used as a workbook. Doing and making the exercises discussed will bring you in to being and doing your art.
Would recommend serious high school, college, university art students as well as serious hobbist and retired people taking up art. The quality and quantity of the information is undeniable; it doesn’t make 5 stars for me only because although it contains everything you would ever need to know about the subject matter, it’s a tiring read, the prose is too dense, and my tired old brain finds it just too much like hard work. But then, it’s a virtual degree course within a single volume, from a renowned master of art education, so hardly for the faint-hearted dilettante anyway; more for the stout-hearted and determined student.
